Celebrate Iowa Pride at the YPIowa Conference

There is something unique about Iowa Pride. The Young Professionals of Iowa Conference on Sept. 22 is a great opportunity to cultivate that pride. The conference will take place at the DMACC FFA Enrichment Center in Ankeny, right here in Greater Des Moines.

There is an often understated, steadfast belief that it is great to be an Iowan, whether or not you grew up in this state. As young professionals, we play an important role in impacting our state today and shaping it’s future. There are young professionals across Greater Des Moines (DSM) and the state of Iowa who are taking pride in their state and community to do great things.

The YPIowa Conference is a day to celebrate our state. It’s a day to learn from fellow young professionals who call this state home. I am confident you will come away re-energized to make a difference in your career and community.

We have a great lineup of presenters who are eager to share their expertise.

Speaker Lineup

  • Dr. Anthony Paustian, author, speaker and Provost at DMACC’s West Campus.
  • Jason Kiesau, speaker, trainer, author and Leadership and Talent Development Manager at Aureon.
  • Thomas Eakin, founder of Brotherhood Trust and Love Connections and owner of BoomLife, LLC.
  • Sarah Noll Wilson, Talent and Development Manager at ARAG.

Our keynote for the day is Matt Beaudreau. Matt will deliver a compelling keynote on how young professionals can bridge generational gaps. Matt is a young professional himself who has a reputation as a leader in his own generation. He has been a featured speaker at TEDx and has provided professional development training to over 10,000 people across the U.S.

There will be plenty of time to learn, and plenty of time to socialize with fellow attendees. We’ll even have a post-conference networking event at Firetrucker Brewery in Ankeny.

Then, on Friday, come on back for the optional Day 2 of the conference. We’ll take the lessons learned in Day 1 and apply them to action. Attendees will make even more meaningful, longer-lasting connections with fellow young professionals as we discuss the opportunities that YP leaders have to take charge in our state. If you are a leader or aspiring leader in YPC or another YP organization, this is a must-attend event for you.
