What Inspired You to First Get Involved with Your Chamber?

I am a firm believer in being involved in one's community. When I became a Realtor, I was encouraged to join a local chamber, so I looked into it. To my surprise, it was all my favorite things … networking, serving the community, supporting local businesses, mentoring and more. The chamber helped show me more ways I could support my city. Most important?of all are the relationships I have developed. Now I can assist other business owners in reaching their goals, which has truly been a blessing. And to think, it all started with one piece of advice at a Real Estate training course I attended only six years ago. Join your local chamber! You won’t regret it.

What is a Signature Offering of Your Chamber?

Celebrate Norwalk 4th of July Parade & Party in the Park is a signature of Norwalk where over 4,000 people watch the parade and more than 2,000 attendees enjoy live music, food trucks, yard games, beer tent, street vendors and more.

What is Your Chamber’s Biggest Accomplishment in the Past 12 Months?

We are excited about our newest group the Norwalk Area Young Professionals group that is actively meeting twice a month with networking and fun social events. These young leaders have brought such an amazing energy to our already vibrant business community. Each month they bring in speakers to help them get to know their community leaders and initiatives better.

What Initiative/Project Are You Looking Forward to in the Upcoming Year?

We have a new Women in Business Committee that is planning events including the Warren County Women’s Mentoring event on Thursday, Sept. 29 from 8 – 11 a.m. featuring four businesswomen leaders that will be addressing the theme of “Balance” as we all address burnout in the workplace and readjusting our lives after the last few years.
