How Does a Business Join Your Chamber?

Businesses can join the Bondurant Chamber through our website, by emailing director@bondurantchamber.com, or calling our Executive Director at (515) 967-2424. Prospective members are also encouraged to contact any of our Directors for a cup of coffee to discuss membership value to determine if joining the Chamber is right for them.

What Inspired You to First Get Involved with Your Chamber?

After having spent more than 10 years volunteering and serving with community partners in the fine arts and social services, I felt it was time to give back to the industry that has been so good to me and my family. Joining the Chamber’s board was gratifying in the sense that it helped me to better understand and connect with local businesses and their leaders. A thriving and successful business community is one of the most powerful drivers of positive change in our communities and neighborhoods.

What is a Signature Offering of Your Chamber?

Events! We organize some of the most creative, interesting and engaging events several times throughout the year. These provide opportunities to connect with both our community residents, government officials, nonprofit organizations and business leaders in a way that is fun, accessible and memorable.

What is Your Chamber’s Biggest Accomplishment in the Past 12 Months?

Successfully recruiting, onboarding and mentoring our new Executive Director. Kaylin is the youngest Chamber Executive Director in the state of Iowa. What she lacks in “relevant experience” she has more than made up for with hard work, coachability, fearlessness, persistence and stick-to-itiveness. The Board took a calculated risk with Kaylin, and it has paid off — much to the benefit of our membership and business community.

What Initiative/Project Are You Looking Forward to in the Upcoming Year?

The opening of the Hubbell Avenue/Highway 65 underpass that will connect both sides of our city and create a safe connection of our multi-use trail system.

What Partnership Tools/Resources Have Been Most Beneficial to Your Chamber Members?

Content and programming. Our members find tremendous value in having access to subject-matter experts, workshops and content that the Bondurant Chamber would not otherwise be able to provide for our membership.

What Are Your Upcoming Events?

• Piece of Bondurant on Saturday, April 29 from Noon until 3 p.m. at City Park
