Tee Off for a Cause at the Des Moines Chamber Mini Golf Open
What do you get when you mix mini golf, community spirit and a whole lot of heart? You get the Des Moines Chamber of Commerce Mini Golf Open benefiting the DMARC Food Pantry Network — and trust us, this is not your average round of putt-putt.
Join us Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the historic Scottish Rite Consistory (5th and Park Streets) for a morning that is equal parts fun and impact. First tee times begin at 9 a.m., and the last tee time goes out at Noon. When you arrive, you will be assigned your tee time — but remember, pre-registration is required because space is limited.
Now here is where it gets creative.

Each hole on the course will be built out of items that are critically needed by the DMARC Food Pantry Network. That means the very goods our neighbors rely on — canned vegetables, pasta, cereal, diapers, cleaning supplies — will literally shape the course you are playing. It is mini golf with a mission.
Instead of a traditional entry fee, simply bring needed items to donate. Think non-perishable food like canned beans, peanut butter, rice, soup and whole grain cereal. Non-food essentials like diapers (larger sizes are needed most), toilet paper, baby wipes, laundry detergent and feminine hygiene products are also in high demand. Pro tip: Look for items low in sugar, fat and salt when selecting food donations.
A couple important reminders: bring your own putter and golf ball, and make sure you register in advance to secure your spot.
Whether you are coming with coworkers, family, friends, or your favorite foursome, this event is about more than friendly competition. It is about showing up for our community in a tangible way. Every donation helps stock shelves and support families across Des Moines.
So, grab your putter, gather your donations, and get ready to tee off for a cause. We will see you on the green — where every putt makes a difference.
