When Angela L. Walker Franklin, PhD, became Des Moines University Medicine and Health Sciences’ 15th president in 2011, the university's campus, culture and trajectory transformed. Her leadership led to DMU's first comprehensive campaign, expanded research and community partnership, and in 2023, a brand-new West Des Moines campus.
