The Greater Des Moines Partnership To Host Public Policy Issue Forums In 2023

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Feb. 6, 2023) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will hold a series of public policy forums throughout 2023 to explore issues impacting Greater Des Moines (DSM). Each forum will include a conversation of experts who will provide insights surrounding the policy implications of that priority issue. The first forum is on the topic of child care on Thursday, Feb. 16 from Noon – 1 p.m. 

The Public Policy Issue Forum on Child Care will feature a panel discussion on the importance of the investments and policies that increase child care options for Iowa families and stabilize the child care workforce. Confirmed panelists include: 

  • Sheri Penney, Iowa Women’s Foundation  
  • Chris Sackett, BrownWinick Law Firm

More panelists will be announced as they are confirmed.

Registration for this event is free. The event will take place in a hybrid format. Registrants can attend in person at the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St. in Downtown DSM, or receive a livestream link upon registration. Click here to register.   

Future forums will take place every other month, including: April 20, June 15, Aug. 17, Oct. 19 and Dec. 14.
