The Greater Des Moines Partnership To Host Public Policy Issue Forum On Rural Development

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 3, 2023) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced its next Public Policy Issue Forum will be on the topic of rural development on Thursday, Aug. 17 from Noon – 1 p.m. This is one of a series of public policy forums throughout 2023 to explore issues impacting Greater Des Moines (DSM). Each forum includes a conversation of experts who will provide insights surrounding the policy implications of that priority issue.

The Public Policy Issue Forum on rural development will feature a panel discussion on the programs and policies that support rural development across the DSM region. Confirmed panelists include: 

  • Katie Lord, MidAmerican Energy Company 
  • Bill Menner, Iowa Rural Development Council, Moderator 

Registration for this event is free. The event will take place in a hybrid format. Registrants can attend in person at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St. in Downtown DSM, or receive a livestream link upon registration. Click here to register.
