Partnership's Pradhan Receives Certification from Society of Diversity
(GREATER DES MOINES, IOWA) July 23, 2020 — The Greater Des Moines Partnership announces that Sanjita Pradhan, Program Director of Talent Development, has been awarded the Certified Diversity Professional (CDP) certification from The Institute for Diversity Certification (IDC).
Pradhan’s diversity certification was earned by completing a structured curriculum that combines the latest research, best practices, terminology and legal information for diversity and inclusion programming. The Institute for Diversity Certification focuses on utilizing diversity and inclusion to achieve organizational goals. Each recipient of the final certification must acquire 60 continuing education credits every three years in order to maintain their credentials.
“Sanjita has been a strong voice for diversity and inclusion in our region and an essential part of The Partnership,” said Mary Bontrager, Executive Vice President of Talent Development at the Greater Des Moines Partnership “We are pleased to utilize her expertise and learnings to enhance diversity and inclusion initiatives, resources and services in DSM.”
Pradhan serves as Program Director of Talent Development for the Greater Des Moines Partnership. Pradhan’s key focus is leading initiatives to carry out The Partnership’s Global DSM: International Talent Strategy and leading both internal and external Diversity and Inclusion initiatives. Pradhan has been an active volunteer and advocate for foreign-born talent. In 2015, she was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve on the President’s Advisory Commission for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Pradhan has served as a Council Member for The Partnership’s Inclusion Council and worked on the formation of The Partnership’s Global DSM: International Talent Strategy. She serves as the Chair of the West Des Moines Human Rights Commission and Civic Engagement Director for Iowa Asian Alliance.
