Partnership To Host Multicultural Reception On Oct. 13

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Sept. 29, 2022) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host a Multicultural Reception on Thursday, Oct. 13 at Sammons Financial Group located at 8300 Mills Civic Parkway in West Des Moines. The event is sponsored by Sammons Financial Group. Multicultural Receptions provide opportunities for those in the Greater Des Moines (DSM) community to develop new relationships with others who are passionate about building an inclusive community for the region. 

“We are excited to partner with Sammons Financial Group for this event which will open up opportunities for important discussions on advancing DEI in our community,” said Dr. Marvin DeJear, Senior Vice President of Talent Development at The Partnership. “We invite leaders and people of all backgrounds to join us to celebrate DEI and learn more about how our community can collectively move forward on DEI initiatives.”    

The event will begin with a roundtable discussion from 4 – 5 p.m. where attendees will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)-related topics of importance to their organization and the community. A beverage and appetizer reception will begin at 5 p.m. with brief remarks around 5:30 p.m. and continue until 6:30 p.m.
