Greater Des Moines Partnership Announces August Multicultural Reception

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (July 10, 2023) – The Greater Des Moines Partnership announced today that it will partner with Corteva Agriscience to host a Multicultural Reception on Wednesday, Aug. 2. Multicultural Receptions provide opportunities for those in the Greater Des Moines (DSM) community to develop new relationships with others who are passionate about building an inclusive community for the region. The event will take place at the Corteva Agriscience Johnston Global Business Center – Carver Conference Center (7000 NW 62nd Ave.) from 4 – 6:30 p.m. 

“We are excited to partner with Corteva Agriscience for this event which will open up opportunities for important discussions on advancing DEI in our community,” said Dr. Marvin DeJear, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer at The Partnership. “We invite leaders and people of all backgrounds to join us to learn more about how our community can collectively move forward on DEI initiatives.” 

The event will begin with a roundtable discussion from 4 – 5 p.m. where attendees will have the opportunity to discuss a variety of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) topics of importance to their organization and the community. The Reception will begin at 5 p.m. with brief remarks around 5:15 p.m., and continue until 6:30 p.m.
