What inspired you to first get involved with your Chamber?
The Chamber really supported me as a new business owner and I wanted to return that support. Being a Chamber member provides me with a great avenue to promote my business and to support others to help Altoona grow. This area is booming and a lot of that is a result of the work the Chamber does.
What’s a signature offering of your Chamber?
We do our best to market and promote our business membership like every other Affiliate Member. We are a resource to our Members and provide several classes each year that give them an opportunity to learn something new or ask questions about something they are struggling with in their day to day operations.
What is your Chamber’s biggest accomplishment in the past 12 months?
Keeping up with the tremendous growth!
Any initiative or project that you are looking forward to in 2018?
We, along with everyone in Greater Des Moines (DSM), are focused on helping our businesses gain and retain employees. Workforce continues to be a challenge and we are doing what we can to market those open positions and those companies.
