2024 Sample Urbandale, A Celebration of Business

Annually, the Urbandale Chamber of Commerce celebrates local business with Sample Urbandale, A Celebration of Business. This event brings together local restaurants and caterers for food sampling, features WineStyles of Johnston and Foundry Distilling Company for spirits, rising musician Andrew Hoyt for live music, a silent auction with over 75+ unique items and an awards ceremony you don’t want to miss.

In addition to the culinary bites, Sample Urbandale is excited to welcome musician Andrew Hoyt to perform during the cocktail hour portion of the evening. Hoyt is known for his work in the local music scene, where he plays guitar, ukelele, sings and composes.

Sample Urbandale Silent Auction Items

Sample Urbandale also offers an exciting array of more than 75 silent auction items, all available for bidding through the user-friendly Handbid platform. This diverse collection of auction items features member-donated gift baskets, unique experiences and services and values ranging from $50 to $5,000. The online auction opens early, so keep an eye out to gain access to bidding before the big event!

Sample Urbandale, A Celebration of Business is more than just an event — it’s a celebration of community spirit and local pride. The evening concludes with an awards ceremony, celebrating exceptional contributions to the community of Urbandale. Award winners of the Business of the Year, the Greg Thompson Small Business of the Year and Best In Class awards will be announced. Additionally, the evening honors the selected Citizen of the Year and Young Professional of the Year. Sample Urbandale is meant to recognize the outstanding efforts and remarkable accomplishments of the individuals and businesses who have made a significant impact on our community.
