Enjoy Breakfast + Coffee at the Downtown Farmers’ Market

Breakfast at The Market

April 30, 2024

This week marks the start of the 2024 Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines season! As a Market patron, you’ll have the opportunity to buy local from more than 300 vendors and hear from local live music performers, including The Travelers, Brownian Motion, Lani, Al Sinatra Sings, Cucho Madero and Professor Von Air. Not only that … get to know local charitable organizations each week by visiting Community Corner on Third Street, including this week’s organization, Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden as well as more special programming from Metronet.

Vendors may change from week to week, but many attend numerous Market events all season long. From 7 a.m. to Noon on Saturday, May 4, visit the breakfast and coffee vendors listed below:

And while you can grab a spot anywhere along The Market to eat, drink and people watch, we recommend checking out one of the seating areas on-site on 5th and Court, the North end of 4th St. and the north end of 3rd St., and morning coffee in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Hy-Vee / Starbucks will host new hours, opening at 7 a.m. so you can grab coffee before you attend The Market, too. Then, retreat to downtown patios after The Market if you’re looking to extend your time in Downtown DSM.

From May to October, experience local artists, live music and entertainment at the Downtown Farmers’ Market featuring more than 300 family farmers, bakers, artists and crafters from around the state. It’s easy to visit with plentiful and affordable street and ramp parking options. Find the latest updates for The Market each week on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
