Hide & Seek Ornaments You Keep
Now – Sunday, Dec. 11 | Downtown Des Moines
Fourteen local artists will place handmade ornaments around Downtown DSM over the course of 10 days, creating a holiday-themed scavenger hunt through downtown neighborhoods. The ornaments will be hidden in areas nearby restaurants, shops and attractions to encourage shopping and dining local. Finders, keepers!

A Christmas Carol
Friday, Dec. 9 – Sunday, Dec. 18 | Des Moines Stoner Theater
You’ll be drawn into the famous, classic story of Scrooge as he is visited by the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present and Yet to Come as the Iowa Stage Theater takes to the stage in Downtown DSM.

Santa Run Fun Run 5k
Saturday, Dec. 10 | Fleet Feet Des Moines
Sign up for this 5k run and receive a Santa suit to wear, along with other participants, in the race! Part of the registration fee will also be donated towards your charity of choice.

‘Tis the Season with the Beach Boys
Thursday, Dec. 15 | Des Moines Civic Center
The unique sound of the Beach Boys will combine with holiday favorite tunes in this Downtown DSM stop along their “’Tis The Season” tour.

Dome After Dark
Friday, Dec. 9 | Greater Des Moines Botanical Garden
Enjoy this family friendly event, where the geodesic botanical conservatory and Gardeners Show House will both be illuminated with colorful lighting. The in-house eatery, Trellis Café, will have food, beverages and mocktails available for purchase as well.
