Wonder of Words Festival to Feature John Carter Cash
On Saturday, Nov. 9, the Wonder of Words Festival presents "House of Cash Memories and Music from a Legendary Family", featuring John Carter Cash, the son and only child of June Carter and Johnny Cash. The event starts at 7:30 p.m. at Wooly's, John Carter Cash is heir to one of the most celebrated and influential musical dynasties in America’s history.
A Grammy winning producer, musician, and author in his own right, John helped to produce several of his father’s later recordings, and produced Grammy-winning records for his mother, including Unbroken Circle: The Musical Heritage of The Carter Family. He was also Executive Producer of the Oscar winning film Walk the Line, which chronicled his parents’ lives and love. In early 2012, he documented his relationship with his father with a collection of intimate anecdotes and personal artifacts in “House of Cash: The Legacies of My Father, Johnny Cash”. In this very special program, John shares stories and memorabilia of his mother and father and will perform some of their best-loved music. This is an event that you won’t want to miss.
