The Partnership's Ritz Wins Community Vision Award
Nathan D. Ritz, Director of Regional Workforce Development/Education and the Youth Leadership Initiative at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, has won the “Connecting” category of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute’s Community Vision Awards. The award recognizes a Leadership Institute alumnus who connects leaders across the Greater Des Moines Community. The awards were formally announced during The Leadership Institute Honors Luncheon on May 19.
Ritz represents The Partnership locally, regionally and nationally and shares information about opportunities in Greater Des Moines at career fairs and college campuses throughout the year. He also runs The Partnership’s Youth Leadership Initiative, which has helped more than 400 youth in Greater Des Moines gain leadership skills and connect to the community. Ritz is a 2012 graduate of the Leadership Institute’s Community Leadership Program
“I am honored to receive a Community Vision Award and thankful to the Greater Des Moines Leadership Institute and The Partnership for giving me opportunities to learn, grow and lead in this community,” Ritz said. “I am passionate about helping young people in high school and college discover this community, and I will continue my work to help connect them to the great things happening Greater Des Moines.”
