The Partnership's Carmella Heckard Named EWI Des Moines

Carmella Heckard, Executive Assistant to the President at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, has been elected President of the Executive Women International (EWI) Des Moines chapter. Heckard is serving a one-year term. EWI is a global women’s organization with an equal focus on connections, careers and community. Over 1,408 member firms and 1,659 representatives are members of EWI today in nearly 50 chapters.

“We are thrilled with Carmella’s leadership role in EWI, which is a strong organization in our community and nationwide,” said Gene Meyer, President of The Partnership. “I am confident that Carmella’s leadership will contribute to meaningful programming for the organization this year.”

“I am honored to lead this organization in 2016,” Heckard said. “Our goals this year include furthering the engagement of member firms and representatives by promoting leadership opportunities and encouraging them to be involved in the community, and pursuing membership growth in our chapter.”
