Square One DSM Client Max Farrell Named A Delegate For Global Entrepreneurship Summit

June 17, 2016

Max Farrell, Co-Founder of Des Moines-based startup WorkHound, has been selected as a delegate for the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES) hosted by President Barack Obama on June 22-24 at Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. As a delegate, Farrell is one of 100 entrepreneurs in the United States and 700 globally to be able to attend the prestigious conference.

Attendees will participate in interactive discussions and workshops with top Silicon Valley executives and investors from around the world. The summit aims to showcase inspiring entrepreneurs and investors from around the world who are creating new opportunities for investment, partnership and collaboration. It aims to highlight entrepreneurship as a means to address global challenges. President Obama is the featured speaker at the event.

“This is an exciting opportunity to interact with talented entrepreneurs from across the globe and learn valuable lessons that will help us grow WorkHound,” Farrell said. “I am thankful to represent Greater Des Moines on a global stage.”

WorkHound is a driver retention and referral platform built to help trucking companies retain and recruit drivers. It was co-founded by Farrell and Andrew Kirpalani. Using WorkHound’s mobile platform, drivers and companies can create stronger feedback loops. As a third-party tool, WorkHound is able to learn what the biggest issues and opportunities are within fleets to help companies take action to improve the driver experience.

“Max’s invite to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit is a testament to his company’s vision and the continued growth of our region’s startup scene,” said Mike Colwell, Executive Director of Square One DSM.
