Project Spotlight: Farmers Edge

GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Aug. 22, 2017) — At their August meeting, the Iowa Economic Development Authority Board of Directors approved financial assistance on a project that The Partnership team assisted.

Farmers Edge is leasing research and development space in Grimes for a soil testing laboratory to support the growth of its Midwest operations. The project will create five new jobs and have a total capital investment of $2.2 million. Farmers Edge is a global leader in precision agriculture combining hardware and software innovation with advisors on the ground. Farmers Edge is headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada with locations in five countries and 11 states.
