Partnership Vice President of Public Relations Sophia S. Ahmad Named a Top Woman in PR

GREATER DES MOINES, IA — Sophia S. Ahmad, Vice President of Public Relations at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, has been named to the list of Top Women in PR by PR News. The Top Women in PR awards salute the innovation and accomplishments of female public relations professionals. The list of winners is comprised of the most influential women in public relations who are driving the agenda for the industry and their organizations through protecting and building brand reputations. Ahmad will be honored at an awards luncheon at The Grand Hyatt in New York City on Jan. 24.

Ahmad has worked at The Partnership since 2015. At The Partnership, she is a leader in sharing the organization’s message with journalists and leads efforts to share the region’s story with national and international audiences. Of note, she was instrumental in working with national and international reporters to tell the Greater Des Moines story during the 2016 Iowa Caucus cycle and has helped The Partnership’s efforts to unveil key initiatives to its Members and the public. Prior to her time at The Partnership, she served as the Director of Marketing & Public Relations at the Des Moines Symphony & Academy since 2011.
