Partnership to Host Mental Health Forum on Jan. 10
GREATER DES MOINES, IA (Jan. 3, 2018) — The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host a Public Policy Issue Forum on the topic of mental health on Wednesday, Jan. 10. The event will take place from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St., Suite 100, Des Moines.
Panelists will include Carrie Clogg, a member of the Board of Directors for NAMI Iowa, Supervisor Angela Connolly, Polk County Board of Supervisors, Peggy Huppert, Executive Director of NAMI Iowa and Dr. Janice Landy, Psychiatry Section Chief, Inpatient Behavioral Health at Broadlawns Medical Center. The panel will be moderated by Chris Conetzkey, Publisher of the Des Moines Business Record. Panelists will speak on the issue of mental health and its impact on the business community in Greater Des Moines (DSM).
This is the fourth in an ongoing series of Public Policy Issue Forum events. The Partnership is a nonpartisan organization.
The event will begin with a breakfast reception to recognize the Business Record’s special publication, “Lifting the Veil.” The reception is hosted by Business Publications and the Polk County Board of Supervisors.
The breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. with remarks at 8 a.m. The panel discussion will begin at 8:15 a.m.
