Partnership to Host Affordable Housing Forum on Nov. 7

GREATER DES MOINES, IA – The Greater Des Moines Partnership will host a Public Policy Issue Forum on the topic of affordable housing on Tuesday, Nov. 7. The event will take place from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St., Suite 100, Des Moines.

Sue Huppert, Chief of External and Government Affairs at Des Moines University, will moderate a panel featuring Eric Burmeister, Executive Director of Polk County Housing Trust Fund, Carolann Jensen, Chief Programs Officer of the Iowa Finance Authority and Kris Saddoris, Vice President of Development at Hubbell Realty Company. Panelists will discuss affordable housing and the challenges faced in Greater Des Moines (DSM) in an attempt to further educate business, civic and community leaders.

The final Public Policy Issue Forum of 2017 will focus on mental health. More details regarding dates, times, locations and speakers will be announced in coming weeks. The Partnership is a nonpartisan organization.
