Out To Lunch Series Begins Thursday

DOWNTOWN DES MOINES, IOWA – Out to Lunch will return to Downtown Des Moines (DSM) this Thursday, May 18. Out to Lunch will feature food trucks and vendors along with live music from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Walnut Street between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Street. This event is sponsored by Wells Fargo.

Out to Lunch, which is free and open to the public, creates a fun experience for Downtown DSM employees and residents to mix, meet and mingle with others in a vibrant Downtown DSM setting with live music, food and more. Food trucks and vendors confirmed for the first event include Karam's Grill, Miss Molly's Jamaican Patty, 515 Pi, Say Cheese and Patton's. Randy Burk & The Prisoners will provide live country music.

Thursday's event is the first of four this spring and summer. Out to Lunch is also scheduled for: 

  • Wednesday, May 31 at Western Gateway Park.
  • Thursday, June 15 on Walnut Street between Eighth and Ninth Streets.
  • Thursday, July 13 at Western Gateway Park.

Out to Lunch is produced by the Downtown Community Alliance, which is part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
