MEDIA ALERT: Downtown Farmers' Market Invites Presidential Candidates To Speak, Campaign

The Downtown Farmers’ Market presented by UnityPoint Health – Des Moines has announced two programs that will allow presidential candidates and members of their campaign staffs to interact with Market attendees.

  1. Breakfast, Produce and Politics: Through this program, The Market has extended an invite to all 2016 presidential candidates to share their messages with Market attendees for up to one hour, in similar fashion to the Soap Box at the Iowa State Fair. The media is welcome to attend Breakfast, Produce and Politics speeches. Go to DesMoinesFarmersMarket.com to see the schedule of candidates as they are announced.
  2. Saturday Salutes: Campaign staff members and volunteers can schedule to set up a 10x10 booth to distribute information and stickers.

The award-winning Downtown Farmers’ Market is open each Saturday through Oct. 31. The Market’s hours are 7 a.m. to Noon for the remainder of September and 8 a.m. to noon beginning in October.
