Lunch Unplugged 2014 Concert Series Announced

The Downtown Community Alliance (DCA) and Des Moines Performing Arts are pleased to announce the lineup for the Lunch Unplugged concert series. Now in its fourth year, Lunch Unplugged infuses culturally-rich programming with local flavor into the Downtown workday at an affordable price. Take back the lunch hour with choice local entertainment in the beautiful setting of the Temple Theater.

Tickets are $5 and go on sale Monday, Feb. 10. Tickets can be purchased by phone at (515) 246-2300, at the Civic Center Ticket Office (221 Walnut Street), or at the Temple Theater Ticket Office 30 minutes prior to the show. Concert attendees may bring their own lunch to eat in the theater.

All Lunch Unplugged concerts are held from Noon–1 p.m. in the Temple Theater at the Temple for Performing Arts, 1011 Locust Street in Downtown Des Moines.

The Lunch Unplugged concert series will kick off Feb. 27 with local artists The Parlours, and will include six individual concerts through April 17.

  • Thursday, Mar. 6 — Roxi Copland — Jazz/Pop
  • Thursday, Mar. 13 — The River Monks — Indie Folk/Rock
  • Thursday, Mar. 20 — Ballet Des Moines — Dance
  • Thursday, Apr. 3 — Comedy & Magic with John & Patrick (of Triple Espresso)  
  • Tuesday, Apr. 17 — Annalibera — Electronic Pop
