Learn from Local Small Business Owners at First Friday Series

May 18, 2017

GREATER DES MOINES, IA – The Greater Des Moines Partnership and Iowa Center for Economic Success’ Women’s Business Center are partnering to host an event series featuring presentations from savvy, successful business owners and entrepreneurs in Greater Des Moines (DSM) on the first Friday of every month. The First Friday series allows for attendees to catch words of wisdom from small business owners and entrepreneurs who have been through it before and connect with fellow attendees in a laid-back environment.

Sessions are free and open to the public, and are held from Noon to 1 p.m. on the first Friday each month. The next event will be held on Friday, June 2 at The Partnership’s office at 700 Locust St., Ste. 100 in Des Moines.

Liz Lidgett, CEO of Adore Your Walls, will be the speaker on June 2. Lidgett is an art advisor, writer and video host. Through Adore Your Walls, she works with people to find the perfect piece of art for their style, space and budget. Lidgett is also a freelance contributor for many national publications and a video host for Better Homes and Gardens and Martha Stewart Living
