Kyle Oppenhuizen Named 2016 Juice YP of the Year
GREATER DES MOINES, IA — Greater Des Moines Partnership Communications Manager Kyle Oppenhuizen was named the 2016 Juice YP of the Year at an event held Thursday, Feb. 9 at Sticks in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). The Award is part of the 2016 YP of the Year Awards, hosted by Juice and the Young Professionals Connection. The annual recognition acknowledges young professionals who have dedicated their past year to increasing the livelihood of the region in various ways.
Oppenhuizen was recognized for his civic and community leadership, specifically through his efforts to attract and retain young talent to Des Moines and to the state through this presidency on the Young Professional (YP) Iowa board, his service on the Iowa State Daily Board in helping create an environment where young journalists can learn and grow, his work with the Emerging Leaders Collaborative to create a network of shared resources and his work as Communications Manager at the Greater Des Moines Partnership.
