Greater Des Moines Partnership Wins Pair of National Awards

June 23, 2016

The Greater Des Moines Partnership has been recognized as a best-in-class organization with two awards from the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (ACCE), through its 2016 Awards for Communication Excellence competition. ACCE supports and develops chamber professionals to lead businesses and their communities.

The Partnership won a Grand Award in the Campaign category for its Brand Standards refresh that was completed and rolled out in 2016. The comprehensive rebranding process included an entire organizational effort and external input from industry experts. The refreshed brand represents The Partnership’s core values and personality traits and encompasses all initiatives, awards, events and partnerships associated with the organization. It also led to the creation of a refreshed logo and updated design and writing elements on all Partnership platforms. By refreshing its brand, The Partnership is leveraging the collective strength of all of its initiatives and efforts to further build brand equity. Winning a Grand Award makes The Partnership is one of six Grand Award winners spanning four categories in its class and is now eligible for the Best in Show award to be given out at the ACCE’s Annual Convention in Savannah, Ga. on Aug. 9-12.

The Partnership also won an Award of Excellence in the Advertising and Marketing category for its Relocation Guide. In 2015, The Partnership updated the look, feel and content of its Relocation Guide that showcases the region for prospective employees. The new Relocation Guide is in the format of a circular flip-book, making the guide appealing to pick up and flip through. Since its creation, The Partnership, with the help of area employers, has distributed more than 7,500 of the Relocation Guides.

“We are honored to receive these awards from the ACCE recognizing The Partnership as a national Chamber of Commerce leader,” said Tiffany Tauscheck, Chief Communications Officer with The Partnership. “These projects had input and involvement from the entire team at The Partnership, and we are committed to continuing our role as an organizational leader in building our community.”

“Congratulations to the Greater Des Moines Partnership, which has time and again established itself as a leader in our industry,” said Mick Fleming, President of ACCE. “Peer organizations often look to The Partnership to find best practices that they can learn from.”
