Greater Des Moines Partnership Launches New Social Ambassador Program
The Greater Des Moines Partnership launched a new Social Ambassador program this week called #SeizeDesMoines Share Des Moines. The Partnership is recruiting people who are passionate about Greater Des Moines (DSM) to help share the latest news in economic development, workforce, education, downtown, events, and quality of life throughout the region through their circle of friends, co-workers, and family. Social Ambassadors will be encouraged to share the news on any social media platform approximately twice a month.
Signing up to be a Social Ambassador is easy. Just visit DSMpartnership.com and click on Share Des Moines. Once signed up, the Partnership will send email alerts with the latest news and announcements about Greater Des Moines, along with suggested posts for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and even a photo to use on Instagram. By spreading the word of the region’s successes, the Partnership hopes to generate excitement locally and spread the message to people in other markets. Social Ambassadors can also show support, enthusiasm, and passion for Greater Des Moines using the #SeizeDesMoines hashtag when sharing their own news, announcements, and showcasing life via their personal or professional social networks.
The Partnership also encourages community members to share their personal stories about Greater Des Moines on the CarpeDM Seize Des Moines web portal, the user-share website. Volunteers serve as a resource on specific topics; can connect with other members who are resources, add content, and submit photos. When signing up to be a Social Ambassador, users are automatically enrolled on the site as a resource, so start adding favorite photos and content, and even connect with someone who may have similar interests.
