Global Insurance Symposium Registration Opens
The Iowa Insurance Institute, the Federation of Iowa Insurers, the Iowa Economic Development Authority, the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Iowa Insurance Division announced today that registration is now open for the third annual Global Insurance Symposium, held April 26-28, 2016 in Downtown Des Moines, Iowa. This year’s Symposium is themed Inspiring Innovation in the Insurance Industry. In addition to the main track, the Global Insurance Symposium is pleased to announce the new Innovation Track, which comprehensively explores innovation opportunities and challenges.
The Global Insurance Symposium features a powerhouse agenda of renowned industry keynote and panel speakers, as well as numerous opportunities for attendees to participate in roundtable and breakout discussion sessions with global insurance leaders. Speakers include state insurance commissioners, industry leaders, regulatory representatives from various states, national offices and international organizations, and other experts in the insurance industry from around the world.

The Symposium is the leading event for industry leaders to converse on the changing nature of the regulation of insurance with a focus on international regulatory issues. In addition, the Global Insurance Accelerator is pleased to share that the ACORD Insurance Innovative Challenge will be held on Tuesday, Apr. 26, 2016 in Downtown Des Moines. Created and led by ACORD, the insurance industry’s global standards and services association, the ACORD Insurance Innovation Challenge (AIIC) is an innovation competition-business incubator hybrid which identifies and promotes innovation in and for the insurance industry. The ACORD Insurance Innovation Challenge accepts submissions specifically in the areas of technology and process improvements for insurers, process stakeholders, distribution channel and vendor partners.
