Global Insurance Accelerator Director To Speak At Silicon Valley Event
Brian Hemesath, Managing Director of the Global Insurance Accelerator, will represent the accelerator, the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the region on a national stage. Hemesath will speak at the kickoff of the Insurance Disrupted Summit on Nov. 19 in San Mateo, Calif. The Summit brings together Silicon Valley and insurance industry leaders to explore the digital future of insurance and what it takes to harness and accelerate the next wave of disruptive business models, partnerships, technologies, digital ecosystems, customer engagement, advanced analytics and core systems.
Hemesath’s presentation, titled “Insurance: Hell Yes,” will speak on the importance for the insurance industry to invest in the future and become the innovative industry it is capable of being.
“My talk will be a play on how the internal perception of Greater Des Moines has transformed over the past decade into a great sense of community pride that we have a growing, vibrant city where people want to be,” Hemesath said. “I will tie that into the opportunity that insurance industry leaders have to invest in innovation to transform the perception of the industry.”
