Find Your Holiday Goods At Downtown Winter Farmers' Market

Find everything you need for your Thanksgiving feast and holiday gifts at the Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market Presented by UnityPoint Health ­– Des Moines on Friday, Nov. 20 and Saturday, Nov. 21. For the third year, the Winter Farmers’ Market will be located at Capital Square at 400 Locust St. in addition to Kaleidoscope Mall at 555 Walnut St. in Downtown Des Moines (DSM). Both buildings are connected by the skywalk. The Winter Market will also be offered in the same location on Dec. 18 and 19. The Winter Market will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.

The Downtown Winter Farmers’ Market will feature more than 130 vendors selling a variety of locally-raised products including fresh turkeys, eggs, beef, pork, duck and holiday hams. It will feature produce including sweet potatoes, beets, carrots, winter squash, salad greens, apples and more. The Winter Market is the perfect place to shop for your Thanksgiving meal.

Shoppers can also expect to find handmade products including locally-produced honey, jams, salsa, wine, cheese, noodles, baked breads, pies and cinnamon rolls. Beautiful winter flowers such as poinsettias, fresh cut Christmas trees, handmade holiday wreaths, home decorations and unique gifts will also be available. The Market will feature a wide variety of holiday activities for the entire family, including festive holiday entertainment and kids’ activities.
