Ed Lorenzen To Speak On Budget As Part Of Caucus Federal Issue Series

Nationally renowned federal budget expert Ed Lorenzen will be in Des Moines on Tuesday, April 7 to participate in the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s 2015 Caucus Federal Issue Series. Lorenzen will discuss the long-term challenges facing Social Security and Medicare and how the growth of those programs impact the rest of the federal budget.

The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Grand View University, 1200 Grandview Avenue. Registration is $20 for Partnership Investors and Regional Members, and $25 for nonmembers. To register, go to DSMpartnership.com/publicpolicy.

Lorenzen’s presentation is part of the Greater Des Moines Partnership’s 2015 Caucus Federal Issue Series, a series of policy events in anticipation of the upcoming caucus season. Each event in the series features keynote speakers by nationally known individuals. The Partnership has partnered with Fix the Debt and the Concord Coalition for this series.
