Brenton Skating Plaza to Close for the Season March 9

March 7, 2014

Brenton Skating Plaza will be closing for the season on Sunday, March 9th. The last session for public skating will be Sunday from Noon – 8 PM.

“Closing the rink each season is always bittersweet, but more so this year,” says Robbin McClelland, General Manager of Brenton Skating Plaza. “It’s been a tough winter for us but we have a lot to look forward to. We’re not just closing the rink until the next skating season, we’re beginning a new adventure with the addition of the canopy to this space.”

Beginning June 2014, Brenton Plaza will have a one-of-a-kind canopy allowing for rain and sun protection while enjoying panoramic views of Downtown Des Moines (DSM). This enables Brenton Plaza to function as a venue for ceremonies, social events, festivals, shows and concerts.

Please visit brentonplaza.com for more information about facility rental or public skating hours today through close.
