Brenton Skating Plaza Recognized as a Top Venue for Children
Brenton Skating Plaza has been recognized as a top place for children’s entertainment. Pipsqueaks, a magazine for Iowa kids and families, released its Readers’ Choice Awards in its June 2016 issue. Brenton Skating Plaza was recognized as a top 3 “Favorite Place for a Kid’s Birthday Party” and a top 3 “Favorite Place for Children’s Outdoor Entertainment.”

Brenton Skating Plaza’s ice skating rink is open seven days a week from November through March, and is available for birthday party rentals during that time. Now that summer is here, The Canopy at Brenton Skating Plaza is available for rental for outdoor events, including reunions, business events and concerts. Brenton Skating Plaza is open seven days a week including holidays from November through March, and available for outdoor event rental under the 160-foot canopy during May through mid-October. Gifted by the Brenton Foundation, the facility is the first of its kind in the state of Iowa and is the only outdoor rink in Greater Des Moines (DSM).
