Aureon's Anne Barry to Share "Top Five Tactics for Enticing Talent"

May 26, 2017

GREATER DES MOINES, IA – The Greater Des Moines Partnership has announced the next presenter in its Small Business Resources “Top Five for Small Business” series. Anne Barry, VP-HR Operations at Aureon, will present on the “Top Five Tactics for Enticing Talent.” The Top Five series features presentations to inform, educate and inspire business owners in Greater Des Moines (DSM). The events focus on a variety of timely topics that affect business owners and managers including legal, human resources, information technology, marketing, accounting and other pressing issues.

The series will take place once a month throughout the rest of 2017 at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, 700 Locust St., Ste. 100. Barry's presentation is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 28.

Barry will discuss how in an increasingly competitive labor market, top talent is a hot commodity. Small and mid-sized businesses can take note of trends being set by larger organizations, but while matching a large employer’s full depth and breadth of employee benefits may not be feasible, smaller employers can become more articulate and intentional about their own competitive advantages in the labor market. In this presentation, attendees will learn five tactics for differentiating their organization from competitors.

With a master’s degree in Public Administration from Drake University and over 13 years of HR and leadership experience, Barry is best known for identifying unique employment-related challenges and working with clients and team members to achieve their desired outcomes and strategies. She currently leads a team of professionals who help business owners and leaders align their HR strategy with business objectives.

The event is $15 to attend, which includes lunch. Register here.
