Applications are Open for Celebrate Business Awards
GREATER DES MOINES, IOWA – Applications are now open for the Celebrate Business Awards, produced by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Des Moines Business Record. The Celebrate Business Awards promote the Greater Des Moines (DSM) business community by publicly acknowledging innovative and enduring business initiatives that contribute to DSM as a top place for careers and businesses. Area businesses are encouraged to apply or nominate other businesses. The application deadline is Friday, Sept. 8. Honorees will be recognized at a celebratory luncheon on Tuesday, Nov. 14 and featured in a fall issue of the Business Record.
The awards recognize companies for specific business practices, such as encouraging involvement in community activities, creating an employee-friendly work environment and building a substantial reputation for integrity and quality while remaining outside the public limelight.
The Inclusion Award is also awarded at the luncheon. The Inclusion Award is given by The Partnership to honor employers that have championed diversity and inclusion at their businesses and organizations and in the community. To qualify for the Inclusion Award, organizations must be a regional Member or Investor of The Partnership.
Expanding or new businesses are also recognized each year at the celebratory luncheon with the Economic Impact Awards to commemorate the impact a company has had on the local economy in terms of job creation, capital investment and facility expansion.
The 2017 Celebrate Business Awards are sponsored by the Greater Des Moines Partnership and the Business Record. Partnership Regional Business Members are eligible to apply and may do so here.
