Agrisync Founder Casey Niemann to Speak at Square One DSM Startup Stories

January 12, 2017

DES MOINES, IA – Casey Niemann, Founder of Waukee-based AgriSync, will be the guest speaker at the February Square One DSM Startup Stories event. Startup Stories is a monthly networking event geared toward entrepreneurs, investors and those interested in entrepreneurship that features an interview-style presentation with Square One Executive Director Mike Colwell. The February event is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 15 at the Greater Des Moines Partnership, 700 Locust St.

Niemann founded AgriSync in 2014. AgriSync is a software as a service provider focused on business to business support and service enablement in the agriculture sector. Prior to founding AgriSync, Niemann spent 14 years at Microsoft and worked at Syngenta prior to that. He grew up on a farm and received an agriculture degree from Kansas State University and an Executive MBA from the University of Iowa.

Niemann will speak on progress made at AgriSync since the company publicly launched over a year ago. He will also speak on lessons learned in leaving a large technology company to launch a startup, and offer his advice for other entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs. Colwell will begin the presentation by interviewing Niemann and will then open up questions from the audience.

The event will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration includes a $15 admission fee for lunch; the event is free for attendees who choose not to sign up for a lunch.
