Chris Augeri Shares the Drive Spotter Story at Startup Stories

"We are about a year out from our accelerator adventure and we're excited to share our story during the accelerator as we formally open our Des Moines office," said Chris Augeri, Founder of Drive Spotter Inc. and graduate of the inaugural class of the Global Insurance Accelerator. Chris will join Mike Colwell, Executive Director of Square One DSM for the organizations March Startup Stories event.

Drive Spotter, a finalist for the Silicon Prairie's 2015 New Startup of the Year award, has gained recognition in the Midwest, across the United States, and in some international circles as part of the next wave of technology in driver assistance and autonomous vehicle technologies. Their technology stores and analyzes dash cam video in commercial vehicles to help drivers reduce day-to-day operating costs and to reduce costly insurance claims from accidents.

Augeri and his team have spent an amazing year traveling the globe to engage national and international customers, distributors, investors, drivers, and recruit future team members in their quest to build the world's leading video analytics platform for commercial fleets and next generation vehicles. They've learned a lot about market validation, product fit, and perhaps most of all, building a high-functioning multi-state team across the Midwest, California, and Texas.

Augeri draws on a deep well of experience as an entrepreneur, data scientist, veteran, and public speaker. He juggles when stuck on a problem, competes as an amateur power-lifter, and is most relaxed when on adventures with his kids. It's this experience and this ability to see past entrepreneurial challenges that has helped him focus during what has been an incredible year for his team.

"I know Chris has been all in on Drive Spotter this past year and has recently taken big steps on the path forward. I believe that experience along with his strong mentoring skills will provide our attendees with valuable advice," commented Colwell who expects to question Augeri on his experiences since leaving the accelerator. While Colwell will interview Augeri initially, the luncheon and networking event will allocate considerable time for questioning from the audience which is bound to include a few classmates and associates from the Global Accelerator, and if time allows, some juggling.
