Affiliate Chamber Spotlight: Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce
Norwalk Area Chamber of Commerce Q&A
Why should someone join your Chamber?
To increase visibility and credibility, to get to know one’s neighbors, to add power and voice to a group that keeps business concerns in the forefront of the community and region — and to make the community better!
What is your Chamber’s biggest accomplishment in the past 12 months?
We partnered with the city and the school and launched a Norwalk app. Four hundred-plus people have downloaded it to keep up-to-date on community happenings.
Any initiative or project that you are looking forward to in 2017?
We are looking forward to the Home Show and the Regional Business After Hours event being held Thursday, July 20. We have partnered with the City, DMHBA and City State Bank to start the event with a State of the City address and then a hospitality tent at the home show that evening. Half-price tickets will be available for that night only to tour the homes. We are also looking forward to our Norwalktoberfest event being held Saturday, Sept. 16.
Upcoming events to watch for:
The Norwalk for Party Before the Works event starring Standing Hampton is 7:45 – Midnight on June 30 in the Wright Place parking lot at 340 Wright Road. Admission is $5. KlassyKrew BBQ will serve beers and food.
The Greater Des Moines Partnership is the fourth largest regional Chamber of Commerce in the nation. Learn more about Partnership Affiliate Chambers and browse the Membership Directory. Read additional Affiliate Chamber Spotlights.
