Book Planter Workshop ($25)

Learn how to turn an old book into a cute planter! Each attendee will receive three succulents or pixie tropical plants to pot in their new book planter along with instructions on how to keep them healthy and thriving.

Introduction to Embroidery ($30)



Join Tactile Modern Handcraft for an afternoon of modern embroidery featuring distinct Des Moines sights. You will learn embroidery basics, master multiple stitches and learn finishing techniques to display your new piece of art! This class is $30 and includes a full embroidery kit with a 6" embroidery hoop, pre-printed fabric, needle, embroidery floss and instructions.

Master Class: Max Allan Collins ($30)

Learn from the Master, Max Allan Collins and his wife Barbara Collins as they each present their Top 5 Fiction Writing Tips, and then field questions from the class. Together, Max and Barb have published the "Trash & Treasures" mystery series.

Max Allan Collins

Max Allan Collins is an MWA Grand Master. He is the author of the Shamus-winning Nathan Heller historical thriller "Do No Harm" and the graphic novel "Road to Perdition," basis of the Academy Award-winning film. His innovative '70s series "Quarry," revived as "Quarry in the Black," became a Cinemax TV series. 

Barbara Collins

Barbara Collins is the co-author of the award-winning "Trash & Treasures" comic cozy mystery series. The fourth entry "Antiques Flee Market" won the Romantic Times award for Best Humorous Mystery of 2008. Barbara and Max have also written two stand-alone thrillers, "Bombshell" and "Regeneration."

Peter Rabbit Garden Workshop with Rose Farm ($35)

For Children Ages 8-12 Only

Join us on an adventure with Peter Rabbit! This earthy workshop will include building individual spring bulb gardens, story time with Peter Rabbit himself and decorating a cookie inspired by Peter's residence with Red's Bakery.
