DSM Book Festival FAQ
What is a hybrid event?
A hybrid event offers programming both in-person and online.
Do I need to register to participate?
Yes. In-person guests must register to reserve their space as capacity is limited. Online participants must register in advance to receive the virtual viewing links.
Are there capacity limitations?
There are capacity limitations for in-person events as space is limited. A selection of Hands-On Workshops may also have capacity limits.
Do I need to wear a mask?
If you are visiting the Festival site in-person, you must wear a mask.
Is there a cost to participate?
The majority of the DSM Book Festival is free. A small number of premium programs have an associated cost. There are opportunities to support the Festival by purchasing a VIP package, merchandise or making a direct donation. The DSM Book Festival is produced through a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Can I volunteer?
Yes! The Festival is in need of volunteers. You can learn more here.
I'm an author. How can I present my books?
Festival authors are invited to participate following an online application process. 2022 Festival Author applications are now open. Interested parties may apply online through Sunday, Jan. 16. Accepted applications will be notified by Friday, Jan. 28.
Keynote authors are invited by the DSM Book Festival Committee.
Will I be able to meet the authors and have my book signed?
The DSM Book Festival authors are only available online in 2021. Guests who purchase a VIP package will receive a pre-autographed book.
