Meet Irene DeMaris, Iowa Interfaith Power & Light’s executive director, and learn about their work in Iowa and why it’s so important to invite all Iowans of faith and conscience to take climate action. (You included!) Tuesday, January 31 at the Des Moines Izaak Walton League. During her time at Iowa IPL, she has helped expand Called to Climate Action and Faith Farms & Climate, led outreach, and increased fundraising efforts including the new Iowa Gives Green. Irene is a United Methodist Deaconess called to live a lifetime of love, justice, and service. Admission to the program at 6:45 p.m. is FREE and open to the public! Doors open at 5:30, with Dinner available and service beginning at 6.
