Grandpa Soulman

Grandpa Soulman is a one man band playing rock & roll, blues and motown music.

Jolie Seitz

Jolie Seitz is a local singer-songwriter and musician who has been a part of the live music scene in DSM since she was 12 years old. She is a DSM native and junior at Roosevelt High School working towards a career in music production and as a professional musician. Seitz performs both covers and original compositions.

Jonathan May - Mr. Magic Productions

Family and corporate magician, Jonathan May, specializes in making fun and fast balloon animals for the children of the Downtown Farmers' Market. He is known for his minimum wait time and maximum entertainment value!

Kirk Sloan Classical Guitar

Kirk Sloan is an instrumental soloist on classical guitar who has performed at venues around DSM. His classical guitar arrangements include both classical music and popular tunes.

Party of Four

This local group of four musicians has been entertaining at The Market for several years. They sing a capella in styles including jazz, folk and contemporary.

Royce Johns

Royce Johns has been playing music his whole life, from piano at age eight and guitar at 14. He was raised on a variety of music including from country, classic rock, alternative and blues. At age 19, Johns was featured in the Des Moines Register's Iowa Life front page alongside his band mates in Lincoln Rockhouse. Still playing with Lincoln Rockhouse weekly, as an active performer he has started to branch out with more solo work as a full-time musician.

Tropical Steel

With over 14 years of performance experience at The Market, this local group boasts of a Caribbean-steel style. Their tropical program, involving crowd participation, hula hoops and small instruments, is enjoyable for all ages!

Wagner Summer Theater

The Wagner Summer Theater group will be presenting songs from their upcoming production of ''The Greatest Showman''.

Stop by the Community Corner on Third Street, south of Court Avenue, to find out what is happening in Greater Des Moines (DSM). Local charitable organizations — welcomed as Saturday Salutes at The Market — promote learning opportunities, Downtown events and community resources each Saturday. Council of International Education Exchange

Council of International Educational Exchange is a nonprofit program that provides the public with information about hosting foreign exchange high school students. The mission of the Council of International Educational Exchange is to help people gain understanding, acquire knowledge and develop skills for living in a globally interdependent and culturally diverse world. Stop by and match flags from around the world with their country. Profiles of the exchange students will be available at the booth along with brochures detailing the program.

Des Moines Y Camp

The YMCA's mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all. Y Camp seeks to give kids a strong sense of independence, new friendships, new skills, character development and a fun summer experience. Their brochures will advertise the summer camp program, day camp program, family camp program and retreat and conferences opportunities.

Iowa Asian Alliance / CelebrAsian Festival

The mission of IAA is to unite Iowa's diverse Asian, Asian American and Pacific Islander communities for the purpose of fostering economic growth and community development within the state of Iowa.
